I heard about it last week while I was on vacation. I didn't want to dwell on it while I was trying to enjoy some time off. She was a part of so much of what I loved as a kid, primarily Looney Tunes and Rocky and Bullwinkle. I wasn't old enough to have seen R&B when it originally aired, but saw it in syndication in the late ’70s, and it showed me how smart cartoons could be while still being incredibly funny.

I've had her autobiography sitting on my shelf for three or four years now, and I keep meaning to find time to read it. I'll have to get to it sooner rather than later.
