Happened to catch a sneak preview screening of Batman: Ninja at WonderCon yesterday, and holy smokes - it was PHENOMENAL! Easily the best animation I have ever seen in a DCAnimated movie, it was such a feast for the eyes. And the story was also amazing, able to swing from serious drama to batshit-crazy in a heartbeat. I was just blown away. Highest recommendation.
I had no idea they were making a movie out of this. The short story isn’t really enough to make a film, but it looks like it will only be Act 1 of the movie. Looks fun.
I was luke warm (no pun intended) towards the teaser trailer, but this hit the spot for me. It looks to be shaping up to be a romp, which is what I'm hoping for. Lots of action, great visuals, and most importantly, I buy Mr Ehrenreich as Mr Solo. He's not Harrison Ford any more than Roger Moore was Sean Connery, but he's engaging, especially in his scenes with Chewie, who looks to be shaping up to be the star of this wars.
Now that Infinity War has came and gone, I guess the next big movie for me would be The Incredibles 2. Still, IW soaked up a lot of my hype for this year, so what's left of that excitement has been dialed down a lot.
Not really that big on Incredibles to be honest. It's maybe my third favorite Pixar movie, below Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3. But still, it looks fun enough to worth a watch. Hope it won't disappoint like Finding Dory. Pixar's been having a lot of misses lately. Hope Brad Bird would keep up his A-game.
