Best Online Publishing?

I have been considering bringing some of my short stories and comics to the internet. The problem is that I am a bit of a neanderthal about what tech to use (pdf? Kindle? Something newer?).

Any thoughts on how a guy like me can drag my knuckles from off the floor and into the world of online publishing?

Email a fully finished short-comic no longer than 20 pages in .jpeg or .pdf format at a resolution of 180dpi. Submissions for our second issue must be sent in by July 10th 2012 for consideration, otherwise submissions are open yearlong.
