Geoff Johns Stepping Down From DC Entertainment Leadership to Write/Produce GL Corps movie

Earlier today The Hollywood Reporter broke the story that Johns was stepping down from his President/Chief Creative Officer role at DC Entertainment.
But, as reported by Nerdist and other places, he is launching his own production company for comics and movies, and will also write and produce a Green Lantern Corps movie.
So, for fans of Geoff Johns' writing, this sounds like less time spent on being an executive, and more time spent on his own writing and co-writing. He is even getting his own pop-up imprint at DC. More at the link.
