Looking to start a new Saturday animation block, Fox is turning to the web.
The network announced that it will develop the web comic Axe Cop for its new 90-minute Saturday late night comedy block.
Axe Cop revolves around an ax-wielding police officer and his loyal team of allies as they fight bad guys. Then 5-year-old Malachai Nicolle created the series with his 29-year-old brother, Ethan. The series launched online Jan. 25, 2010, and went viral in a matter of days.
