It's Valentine's Day, and as the air grows thick with Cupid's arrows, the Geeks choose this special occasion to celebrate--you guessed it--ARCHERY in comics! We're pulling the 'Introducing' format from the quiver and using it to take aim at the first appearances of a few of comics' most bodacious bowmen: Green Arrow and Speedy (More Fun Comics #73), Hawkeye the Marksman (Tales of Suspense #57), and Obadiah Archer (Archer & Armstrong #0). A big "congratulations" to Ian for getting the call up to the big leagues! Not a huge surprise considering your many recent contributions, but happy nonetheless to see you officially join the merry band!

As for the episode, still getting through it, but am enjoying it a great deal. I've never listened to an "Introducing!" show before, but I'm finding it a novel way to cover comics history in smaller doses than the much more extensive Spotlight format.

Great job, guys....and the audio never sounded better!

Btw I think this is my first introducing episode. Not sure why I didn’t listen before.

But during a brief lull at work went on to the DC and Marvel Apps bought More Fun and Tales of Suspense. And went to ComiXology and borrowed Archer and Armstrong

I'm very happy that Ian has joined the cast. With Pants on hiatus, I think Ian is well qualified to fill his chair. He has a good voice, is very knowledgable, and fits in well with the "old timers." Here's to many, many episodes yet to come! Hopefully one day Pants will return as well.

Seconded!! Congrats to Ian and I still hope for a Pants return. As for the episode, that was awesome. I never knew that Green Arrow originally had brown hair. Curious. And I never knew Hawkeye also had blue and yellow in his costume originally. Curiouser. And I never knew much about Archer and Armstrong at all (the speculation era happens to coincide with my time in grad school...less time and little money for comics). I do have a fondness for "archer" heroes though, mostly because of my family name, I think. Every time I'd read a caption "...and the battling bowman..." I'd think, yeah I'm the hero in this comic! lol
