Comic Geek Speak Presents: Comic Timing - Episode 205 Talkback

The following is a special presentation of the Comic Timing Podcast, as we celebrate fifteen years of the podcast! In turn, we review, and dissect, Zack Snyder's Justice League. A warning that if you're a pure fan of this and other Zack Snyder films this might not be for you. But if you're looking for a critical eye that delves into what works and what doesn't, then this may be your speed. Outside of your co-hosts Ian Levenstein and Brent Kossina, guests include artist Jamal Igle, writer and podcaster Kris Naudus, and longtime Comic Timing contributors Brandon Christopher, Donovan Morgan Grant, and Raphael Soohoo. I think I mostly agree with the observations made on this one. However, I think that @knightwingbk nailed it. Did it have some vastly improved scenes? Yes. Did it fill out some story arcs and character arcs? Yes. Did it chain those improved scenes and arcs into an effective piece of storytelling? Absolutely not. Whedon, while different and still disatisfying, was still a movie, complete with editing. This was not.
