I didn't even realize that was a toaster until following the link. I'm disappointed that the article mentions that there already exists a Hello Kitty toaster but doesn't mention the Darth Vader toaster I've wanted for a while.

There is a Spidey toaster in this month's Previews. It burns the spider symbol right into the bread.

Forget the other models..... "Who's watching the toast?" is an instant classic.

Now let's cross to a comment from Alan Moore.....

Is it produced by the Veidt corporation... better have that logo somewhere.

Does it burn an image into the toast? Rorschack? The badge? Dr Manhattan's symbol? Dr Manhattan's other 'ahem' symbol?

at first glance i thought it was a helmet designed for those that would rather hit their head against a wall instead of reading Before Watchmen

I guess Scilis a Belgae would be better Latin.

    Let's try again:

Tollere manus a scilis a Belgae.

Couldn't find a literal translation of "toast" so this is:

    Who dries the bread?

    I dry the bread.

I had a similar difficulty with "Eggo" or even "Waffle", thus "pastry of the Belgians"

Tollere manus a scilis a Belgae.

Remove your hands from the pastry of the Belgians.

    Leggo my Eggo.

It will be just as disappointing as the Pop-Tarts "Spider-Berry" flavor. I tried them and didn't taste remotely like spiders.

"Well, if people want to spend their money on toasted bread that's based on something I did over 25 years ago, it's not for me to stand in their way. I just wish the bigger companies...Kenmore, Amana, what have you...would focus on creating new toasting technology instead of rehashing and retreading old ground. There really hasn't been much in the way of innovation since I left to toast-making industry. Dave Gibbons has gone public with saying he supports this endeavor, and that's his right. I prefer to draw my line in the sand to not support plain, ordinary toast, not when you can purchase some of my independently produced toaster products, like the Panini From Hell Press."

    You win.

And I cannot read it without hearing that deep British voice of his.
