While the collection is gone.... I think my oldest comic was Superman #12. I still have an Flash Gordon Paint Book from 1936 that was my dad's. Never been colored.... the back cover needs some restoration Not my copy... but its this book....
Hmmm.... well, according to my comicbookdb index (which I'm still in the progress of working on), I own this issue
And to be honest, the cover does look familiar so I'm not doubting it, but I really don't know if I could tell you much about the issue. I obviously bought it on the cheap.
The two that I would think of if you asked me off the top of my head would be one of these two.... and looking them up, they actually both have the same cover date, so my estimate of them being close to each other was pretty accurate!
The oldest issue of X-Men that I own is about a year more recent than those two. I also own the first appearance of Poison Ivy which is from about the same time as the X-Men issue.
Wait a minute.... according to my comicbookdb index, I have one more book that's older than any of these (and is actually from the 50s). This one is coverless though (but if it's the one I'm thinking of is actually in pretty good condition other than the cover missing)
I wish comicbookdb could do a chronological sorting of my collection like you can do if you look up characters or creators. I don't know if any of the ones that you have to pay for can do that, but you have to pay for those.
I have Mutt & Jeff 12-16, which appears to be from 1925-29 according to comicspriceguide (I didn't bust them out to verify). I don't really even remember buying it. It's way outside of what I'd normally be interested in.
My uncle passed away a few months ago and he had a bunch of Bronze Age books, but some older ones in there too. I was able to save them before the rest of the family tried to snatch them and sell 'em for pennies. They're safe in the family and will remain there as long as I'm around. I think this is now the oldest one. It doesn't look as good as this though.

That issue is one of the CI comics I got last month.
I've been gathering Mxyzptlk (or should I say Mxyztplk) appearances. I think the farthest back I have is Superman #40, coverless. In fact I have quite a few coverless copies of golden age Mxy appearaces. They're all in the to-read pile.
It's the Canadian printing...the ONLY EC I own, even thought I have all of the Box Sets as well as the "Annuals" they put out in the 90's that collected the runs of all of the New Trend books in color, comic book sized collections. Too bad they don't just start reprinting the damn things in trade paperbacks...
I have just sorted my comicbookDB collection by chronological age. It takes a few clicks and a download.
oh yeah.... I never even bothered downloading a spreadsheet lol. So yeah, the above are still my oldest. I'll update when I'm finished completely cataloging my books (it's my chore for the summer).

Mine is Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen, the 100th issue featuring the weird wedding of Jimmy Olsen.
