Buying Comics internationally

Hi everyone!
I got recently back into collecting comics and while listening to the "Comic Collecting 101" episode I noticed that it's on conventions that you can get the best deals and back-issues.
This is a problem for me since I'm from Portugal and we very rarely have comic-book conventions here, and I'm tired of being rip-off and charged upwards of 15€ per issue that are worth 1$ at most.
So, any international comic-book buyers in the forums? Where do you buy your back-issues online? Is eBay a good option?

I buy on ebay.co.uk and ebay.com (I'm in London). I'm sure that shipping to Portugal from the UK is reasonable. The big american shops like mycomicshop usually do a standard shipping cost, for example - $9.00 first item and $0.40 thereafter.
www.milehighcomics.com currently are doing free shipping on international orders over $60.
