That is Dr. Watson from Sherlock Holmes fame. He's the narrator of almost all of the Sherlock Holmes tales and was a surgeon in the British Army. I love everything Holmes and there are a fair number of comics featuring him and Homes and he seriously springs to mind above a lot of others when I was glancing over my trades to come up with my list.1.
