I am encouraged by the presence of Marx and Lopresti, but if Didio rapes my childhood and F's this up, ala' Starfire, I'm buying a bus ticket and a hammer.

@ Mr_Cosmic - Me too! I've never read it, but after hearing Peter and you guys gushing about the original, I think I might need to pick up the first issue. (Even though a back-up story equals $3.99)

I'm excited, but this has gotta be a $3.99 book, right? The presence of the back-up makes me think that. I'm afraid that's going to doom it right out from the gate.

But I'll check it out. I liked the original, and I could use a new fantasy comic since my interest on Demon Knights waned.

For those of you curious about Amethyst's origins - this month they've solicited the Showcase edition which pretty much collects her entire run (barring the odd guest appearance). For $20, you have nothing to lose but...well, $20!

And I'll be buying this whether it's $4, $5, $6...better stop before Didio hears me. :)
