After giving it some more thought my answer can only be: my match would be an amalgamation of all CGS hosts. Impossible to single one out. If that's a good or bad thing I let others decide.

I think I might have to agree with you. I don't like that answer because it feels like a copout, but if it's the honest answer, it's what I'd have to go with. If I had to pick one.... I guess I might go with Mike just because he's the only other big X-Men fan in the group. My two comic book biggies are Batman and the X-Men. Matt was a Batman fan, but I don't always agree with him on where Batman should go, so I can't say I'd agree with him as much. But Mike's still not a perfect fit because he'll say things like "I'm not a big fan of Peter David," which I don't have a problem with him saying, but it's not my opinion.
Somewhere between Mike (minus the X-Men and manga love) and Bryan (if Bryan had grown up reading and liking DC more than Marvel). So, basically, Peter.
A cross between Jamie D. -- In all things John Byrne I give a chance & enjoy Pants-- he reads a lot of DC titles & Daredevil too. However I am getting a growing backlog of comics.
In the past I generally avoided these questions that gave off a whiff of "cult of personaity" that the Geeks do not solicit ( Steel Cage threads and such) but I will post here because I am continually surprised how spot on Mike and Jamie are to many of my comic likes. I guess because I'm in my early to mid 40's, which they are , so we have similar pop culture DNA. I was opposite of Pants, heavy Marvel, light on DC growing up so while he is in that age bracket a Mike/Jamie amalgamation I prefer.
I do enjoy how Murd adds a legitimate air of intellectualism to the conversation. I smile in the car with some of the shit he comes up with to add to the conversation.
I'm not really sure. I would have said Peter before. Now? Not sure. I feel I have similar views and tastes with Pants as he likes DC and he reads books based on characters but I think I have similar views and tastes as Jamie D and Shane as well.
Mike's passion, Murd's intelligence, Jamie's wisdom, Deemer's assertiveness, Matt's observational skills, Pants' organizing ability, so many to choose from..... but for me there can be only one.
I don't agree with any of the Geeks now, which is probably good. I WANT different perspectives and someone to challenge me, otherwise you just don't grow. I did agree with Peter on most of his picks.
Murd with a dash of D seasoning. And while I respect and love Deemer, I probably disagree violently with practically every single thing he says. Beginning with his reverence for John Romita Jr. But this isn't about who is your mis-match, so forget I said any of that.

This about what I was thinking for me too. I probably don't disagree with Deemer quite as violently, but my favourite comic run is Morrisson's Doom Patrol so that claim might be in jeopardy.

I'm sticking with the amalgamation.
I approve.

I am stoked that Mike is finally bringing some high quality X-knowledge to the discussions.

Shane. The heart of the group.

Jamie's love of Byrne
Pants love of dc
Murds love of history
Shane's love of euro comics
But that's just me!
