I've seen The Walking Dead season 1. And I've also read The Walking Dead up to episode 24 (the first two hard covers). Do any spoilers await me in season 2; I don't have the money to read the rest of the series right now.
I don't remember where the second HC ends but it is very possible that there could be spoilers. However, the show strays from the comic quite a bit and I think a person could watch the second season and still enjoy the comic at a later date.
Each season appears to be deviating exponentially further from the source. Events on the comic fit pretty tightly together A causes B. B leads to C. And the dominoes fall. but with the TV series A causes Q, Q leads to H. And you have an entirely different set of dominoes.
I can easily seperate the TV series from the book series. Enjoying each for their own merits. And in both media there is only one major spoiler: NOBODY IS SAFE>:)

I sort of feel like the broad strokes are there but the fine lines are deviating all over the place.
Which is why I told @Gryffin that I felt it was safe to watch the show and not have to worry about being spoiled a lot.
