Bandette by Tobin & Coover is the best 99 cents I've spent on comics in a long time.

Go read up on Paul Tobin and Colleen Coover's Bandette over at the Monkeybrain Comics site, and then give the proper people your digital monies and buy the crap out of it because it is really, really, really good. Basically, Bandette is a thief who steals in the name of justice (or whenever it strikes her fancy), and this initial 16 page story kicks off an adventure while introducing us to the network of characters she interacts with in her very Franco-Belgian setting. It's a little bit Batgirl, a little bit Robin Hood, a little bit BeDe, a little bit cute teen girl detective, and a little bit heist movie all thrown together. I don't really do the digital thing, but I'm totally on board for this, no question whatsoever.

I might need to pick this one up. I got the first digital issue of Monkeybrain's "The October Girl", which I also really enjoyed.

Yep; I normally have very little use for this kind of comic, but it's so well executed and sophisticated that it won me over.

If you like Coover's work, let me recommend Gingerbread Girl as well. That book was fantastic.
