What are some good all ages superhero comics?

I was thinking of subscribing to "New Crusaders", but I figured out your paying $4 32 pages of comics. Not sure that's worth it. Any other good all ages superhero books?

Anything done by Art and Franco are great. Superman Family Adventures is great and if you haven't checked them out already, go find some trades of Tiny Titans which is amazing. Marvel has their Marvel Adventures comics which are really good All-Ages comics featuring the Marvel superheroes. Another great comic is G-Man by Chris Giarrusso which I find to be a lot of fun to read.

I enjoyed the OGN Takio and the first couple issues of the comic have been pretty good.

Marvel Adventures for sure. Young Justice and Green Lantern (based on the cartoons). These are all ages without being childish or intended for the very young like Tiny Titans. The very best though IMO would have to be any past DC series based on Batman the Animated Series. and related cartoons such as Justice League/Unlimited or Batman Beyond.

All the various Marvel Adventures stuff is great.
  • I couldn't agree more on G-Man (by far my favorite thing in Image's release for Free Comic Book Day)and Batman Adventures (based on the animated series)!
  • Any of the eleven Power Pack all age mini series are good for all ages strangely enough :D

Paul Tobin's run on Marvel Adventures Spider-Man is probably my favorite Spidey book since Kurt Busiek's Untold Tales of Spider-Man in the 90s. And I'm pretty sure it's all available in digest format. Starts with a volume called Thwip!, then Peter Parker Vs. the X-Men (IIRC), and then all the volumes are named for other Spidey titles: Amazing, Spectacular, Sensational, etc.

But Tiny Titans has wrapped up so Superman Family Adventures has the same art team from Tiny Titans. The new series is focused on the Superman family of characters & villains in the same art style & good for kids & kids at heart.

My rugrats have been reading the Marvel Adventures digests, I have gotten most of those for about 3 bucks per digest at TFAW. Marvel Universe Ultimate Spider-Man which follows the animated series, Superman Family Advetures. You can still get Tiny Titans in trades.

    What's "TFAW"?
  • I believe TFAW is Things from Another World. It's an online comic shop that often runs sales on nick and dent items and they almost always have Marvel Adventure books. I've order from them a few times with good results.
  • Thanks for all the recommendations guys!

Would "Adventure Time" be a good pick, or is that more adult?
  • Judging by the Free Comic Book Day issue, I would say it was fine for kids. I wouldn't call it a superhero book, though, except that I guess everyone is in crazy costumes.

If you're branching out, you might also look at Courtney Crumrin from Oni, and Kochalka has several kids comics that would be worth a look.
