NYCC Hotel Room?

Hey guys, I'm not quite sure where to place this so please forgive me if I'm totally in the wrong for placing it here.
I've already purchased my plane ticket and 3-day Convention pass for New York Comic Con. Myself and my other co-host of the Lanterncast (Dan Kurtzke) had plans to share a hotel room in NYC with three other people all of whom bailed. Now Dan lives in NJ and says he's cool with taking the train daily. But I live in Texas. So having a place to stay within the city is pretty important. I could have afforded a hotel room for the time I'm there (Oct 11th - 14th) if we had split it between a bunch of people like we planned, but between just us two, that would've put us at over $500 a person it seems. Is there anyone out there attending NYCC for those dates that has an available space in their hotel that I could give $200 for letting me crash with them for that weekend?
Really the only issue you MIGHT encounter with me as a room mate is coming in late. I've wanted to go to New York City for YEARS and now I FINALLY get to go. I've grown up wanting to be a journalist so, naturally, NYC has been built up in my head as literally my DREAM vacation. While I'll be attending the con for sure, I DEFINITELY want to check out NYC as much as humanly possible, which means late nights for me. (I realize that putting that information out there might preclude some of you considering it in the first place, but I only thought it fair that you be aware)
Again, apologies if I'm in the wrong place for this. Anyone out there able and willing to share their space or looking for an extra hotel mate to split the cost with? Thanks!
