    Also, I forget who said it - either Feige or the Russos, but they went on the record that Cap *could* lift the hammer in Age of Ultron but pretended not to be able to, so as not to upstage Thor.

    This is a terrific topic!! I am so happy to hear so many Geeks involved!! I know that all of our answers will change day to day! How can anyone possibly choose their Top Five?!?

    Thus, because I like to cheat, here is the gestation of my selections...organized via the criteria that resonate most strongly with me (in no particular order):

    Criterion #1: Most likely to make me cry
    Captain America: The First Avenger
    Avengers: Endgame
    Guardians of the Galaxy

    Criterion #2: Most likely to make me cheer
    Avengers: Endgame
    Captain America: The First Avenger
    Avengers: Infinity War

    Criterion #3: Most faithful to the comics
    Thor: The Dark World
    Doctor Strange
    The Incredible Hulk

    Criterion #4: Most likely to make me laugh
    Guardians of the Galaxy
    Ant-Man
    Thor: Ragnarok

    Criterion #5: Most surprising plot twists
    Thor: The Dark World
    Captain Marvel
    Iron Man 1

    Criterion #6: Best action sequences
    Captain America: The Winter Soldier
    Captain America: Civil War
    Avengers: Endgame

    In conclusion, based on the films that appeared most frequently in the above lists, it seems that my Top Five MCU Films (for the moment!) are:

    1) Avengers: Endgame
    2) Captain America: The First Avenger
    3) Guardians of the Galaxy
    4) Thor: The Dark World
    5) is...ummm... 9 films tied for the fifth slot

    Yes, the skrull reveal was one portion of the twist. Simply stated, I was very surprised that the bad guys (the skrulls) were really the good guys, and the good guys (her Kree friends) turned out to be the bad guys.

    These are the MCU movies I think are the top 5 most rewatchable, which is pretty much my standard for "best" when it comes to genre films (there are many amazing films that are so emotionally taxing and/or disturbing that I would never want to see them more than once, but I recognize their artistic merit).

    1. Guardians

    2. Ragnarok

    3. Infinity War

    4. Endgame

    5. Guardians 2
