    I've been busy... :)

    I'm still okay with them casting someone like Cam Gigandet or Smallville's Justin Hartley. Both have fighting skills. I'd much rather Marvel simply bring Shang-Chi into this Netflix Defenders project and do their Asian heroes justice instead of simply race-bending an established character.

    And I'm a fan of Danny Rand as it is, though his origin is stupid, I admit.

    I agree that there is a perfectly good asian martial arts character in the Marvel U in Shang-Chi, but I'm not a huge Danny Rand fan and wouldn't mind seeing the Iron Fist mantle be passed to a new character, asian, latino(-a), white, skrull whatever...

    You know what, not whatever... definitely Skrull.

    Yes, I think that's a great idea. Danny Rand does nothing for me, might as well make a slight alteration for the sake of diversity.

    I can see them avoiding a Shang-Chivseries because of the involvement of Fu Manchu in his origin. They can't trade the issues because of it, so its somewhat limited in the full potential.

    Not saying I agree with it, but its the approach I'd take if I worked for Marvel.

    As for Iron Fist, I'd say unless you are in the elite level (Superman, Batman, Spider-man*, etc) you're open to get revamped.

    I would think think Marvel could easily replace Fu Mancho with the Yellow Claw for tv/movies (they did it in Agents of Atlas). For most people (myself included) there is no real difference.

    Back on topic:
    I don't really care if they change a character for movies (or even comics). I'm a big boy and can tell there is a difference between one medium (or universal overhaul like post-flashpoint DC) and the other. A black Flash or Johnny Storm, why not, as long as it's good.

    i think it will come down to... who is the star of the "street level" characters... i am guessing it will be Daredevil and Luke Cage... given that... I think Marvel will be more amicable to diversifying the non-central characters like Iron First...

    If they do this right... Marvel can have the FAST and FURIOUS of streaming franchises... a multi-ethnic smash hit!!!

    Daredevil - white
    Luke Cage - black
    Jessica Jones - white
    Iron Fist - Asian or Mexican

    and then introduce Shang Chi later
    and Misty - Black
    and a gay character somewhere too

    And you'll have all colors of the rainbow...
