It has its redeeming qualities. Theres plenty to do. I moved here about 8 years ago on a whim. Didn't like it very much. What with moving into one of the hottest and most humid parts of the country.. from effectively, the snow belt of northeastern Pa. There was a 3 year drought when I landed. The place was a dead, brown mess. A tornado had just leveled Joplin , Mo. I wasn't keen on it. But I found i was right in the center of all the best spots for comics. So it grew on me. We do have one of the oldest continuously operating comic shops in the country. And as a guy into comics history... the place is a virtual time machine. It's been open since 75 or 76.. same location. No pops, no toys, no games.. cards.. just long boxe after long box, a great wall selection, and no frills. If you ever come back, I highly recommend you stop at the Comic Empire of Tulsa!
