New Forums?

Hey everyone,

So the cost of running these forums isn't super cheap. I'm contemplating switching over to something equally as elegant, but not as expensive.

I'm looking into ways to import the data so we don't have to start over from scratch again. That would suck.

Nothing is going to happen right away, but I just wanted to give people a heads up that it might be happening in a few months.

I think whatever you have to do Deemer do it. We are all free users, so if you need to change it to save the show some money I'm all for it. Hopefully some hacker doesn't come and crash the new forum and be like "hey I did you a favor!"

understand and will be here if and when the forums change. AT LEAST we can count on the change be the norm (as it is in life) here... Okay, and whenever Deemer goes out of town, the forums crash. I set my Casio wrist remote controller/calculator/watch to it.. ;-)

I plan to have a high collar in the new forums and all of my past continuity will still count....well, some of it will count but some of it won't....but I'm not going to explain to you what still counts and what won't. You'll just have to figure it out for yourself. I'm also thinking that I will try a new title for my forum name, but then after a few months I'll just switch it to something with Batman or Avengers in it so people will notice it.

I guess in the reboot I'll get to hate Ghost Rider, and you are forced to not remember that I ever had a prior relationship with that character. Also I won't be a billionaire internationl man of mystery; I'll be a down on his luck former billioaire playboy that lost all hs money in a hostile takeover. And I'll have 90% more pockets, a bandolier filled with mystery (probably cheap wine boxes), and an eye patch (because those look rad).

Let it die. Make them have to comment on the Facebook page. This forum has spiraled into fanboy masturbation. I mean, when a thread like 'I want to punch this in the face' is getting that much attention you know things are bad. The old guard, that came for the discussion and new comics focus and the podcast, is no longer interested in keeping the jerkoffs at bay. Why keep feeding their tripe? The true forum community comes out in celebratory threads. That's not enough to warrant keeping it going. You'll find the focus will sharpen on Facebook.
