Time to sharpen your pencils and join in the sketch thread! All skill levels are welcome and the point is to have fun. Let's see what you can create!

The theme this month is: Recreate a favorite page or panel!

(imgur.com is a great, free, image host with no bandwidth or other limits and doesn't even require you to sign up to host images with them)

The goal this time is to get people involved, and this month's theme can be as loose or literal as you want. You can completely re-imagine a favorite page or panel or faithfully recreate it. Entirely up to you and as always the only goal is to have fun.

Also, feel free to post other sketches or drawings you do throughout the month even if they aren't in line with the theme.

Definitely appreciate the art, and they are both great, but I'd like to keep these sketch threads to things actually sketched during this month. Both of these are past pieces and with tons more polish than a sketch. There can be a post your art thread to cover everything but the goal here is to actually sketch something and to play around, try new things, and to help grow skills.

No, no it is OK, how about instead of removing it add a sketch! :) The thing is if we just post past work (especially finished pieces) it kind of defeats the purpose and it also makes it more daunting for non-artists and less skilled folks to participate. The point is to toss up like 10-15 minute sketches or even 1 hour or so pieces if people want but still sketches.

I've been tied up with a major project at work and a commissioned piece but as soon as I clear those here soon I plan to add a sketch or two.

ok so 30 minutes at work with nothing to do, a sketch program on my ipad and absolutely no talent at drawing whatsoever gets you this, it was awesome in my head though

now nobody has to worry about being the worst artist anymore

as soon as i figure out how to post a picture anyway

Great can't wait to see some sketches! I actually just finished a big project at work and a commissioned piece so now I am free to sketch away! Still plenty of time in the month.

Here's my homage to Adam Hughe's cover to JLA #39. It was done using the "Procreate" app on my iPad. I may color it later. :)

Both are good, but I find Procreate makes it easier to change brush sizes on the fly.

I had an itunes gift card burning a hole in my pocket so decided to get procreate too....both of them are very good, don't think you could go wrong for 5 bucks on either one
