Reminds me of...well, nWo Wolfpack.

Lots of killing and smashing to be sure. It'll be interesting to see how chaotic Deadpool plays off of straight laced, military minded Red Hulk. Seems to be some serious solo personalities on that team. All for $2.99? I'll give it a shot!

i wouldn't mind reading a comic with this group as a team but a thunderbolts without songbird, mach v and zemo just isn't the tunderbolts

that being said i'm probably going to get it just so i can be put off and strangely drawn to dillon's faces at the same time

Venom needs a gun because he is a soldier(Flash Tompson!!) who keeps the symbiote in check(Flash has no legs...the symbiote helps with that). The only time he doesn't need a gun is when he loses control and Hul..er.."Venoms Out."

I have not read the Punisher in a while so i'm not sure why he would work with a team, let alone this one. wouldn't he shoot at least Electra and Deadpool on sight?

Depends on what his longer game is. Millar (I think it was Millar) did a good job of writing Castle as part of a team in Ultimate Avengers. Of course Punisher being on a team like that doesn't make sense long term, but there are story possibilities in that sort of ticking time bomb.

I think Punisher and Venom would have no problem taking the lead from Red Hulk. He is a general afterall, Flash would step in line with that and I would think Frank would too for the most part.

Looks like I will finally be reading a Marvel book again. Weird that it's Thunderbolts, the last time I was away it was Warren Ellis' Thunderbolts that brought me back.

Yes - very intrigued by Punisher's potential role in this. He doesn't typically fit well in a team setting.

So far it seems to be not at all. Though of course we'll know more once we have the books. But they have been emphatic that this is not a reboot.

I wouldn't be so sure that it will be 12 and out.

Even with less than marquee characters Thunderbolts has had several successful volumes. I think it is a brand that already has traction in a way that, sadly, brand names like Defenders or an attempt at the new, like The Order, does not.

I also think it helps that it is a $2.99 book.

Sadly, I cannot buy a book that has Thunderbolt Ross and his amazing disappearing moustache.

I know, it is petty... but it just irks me to distraction whenever I see that.

Thunderbolts is cancelled and relaunched regularly..so chances are there will be a next issue..it'll just be a #1 and not a #13. :)
