We'll have to get everyone together for another drink on the Saturday night.
Not to plan it too early but my working assumption would be that all the CGS folks would be in the same pub as last year, the Fox @ Excel. Seems to be where most of the creators who were drinking ended up as well...perhaps as it's the closest pub to the venue :)
FYI the Ibis hotel which is a couple of hundred yards from the doors of Excel has rooms for about £65 a night, which seems to be the cheapest in the area.
After missing last years con. I will definitely be going this time round. I see that an early bird ticket will be on the cards to avoid the queues. Any one have any other good con tips?

Don't lug around an Absolute Crisis, hoping George Perez will be available to sign it. (Will not be doing that again)
Really looking forward to this. Very excited and already planning my trip. A weekend pass for me this time (although I'll probably have the kids with me.) Hopefully get to meet the CGS gang especially as last year was when I first started listening, thanks to the stand they had there.
It's certainly from that time period, but I've always assumed it was about a singer hitting the road for a long, lonely tour. It has a vibe that could certainly fit either interpretation.

Welcome onboard, always love to hear newcomers finding us thru a convention appearance. Hope to say Hello to you too
Finally went ahead and got my weekend pass. I just have one suggestion, if the CGS guys have any 'pull' with the organisers, can they get some chairs or benches placed in the area behind artist's alley? Last year there was a big empty space which could have been used as a rest area. My feet will definitely appreciate it.

As a person who has attended countless conventions, I hear you on this.
There are two things to consider:
1) Chairs at the convention center are outrageously expensive. Renting extras so that people can take a load off just isn't in the budget. Honestly, it's not even remotely possible. You have no idea how much that stuff costs.
2) This year the show floor will be even bigger and filled with many more booths and artists. There won't be an empty space. This is bad for sitting, but great for getting more for your money.

That's good to hear. The more artists/booths the better. I can't wait for this. It's gonna be my first con and I have a feeling I'm going to love it!

Let me know if anyone needs chaperoning either side of the con!
And keep your eyes peeled for more guest announcements. There are many more to come.

My bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standing here outside your door
Insert your own John Denver here
Is "Leaving on a Jet Plane" a song about the Vietnam war?
Maybe one for @Adam_Murdough ?
