Is the strike because they are bring back Megatron.... again?
That would a yes, I don't want to see Megatron back in any form, especially if he is made into Galvatron. I didn't like t in 1986 and I'm not going to like it this time around either.
I'm sure they will salavge Megatron in some form, but hopefully not.
What kind of set security would even let these guys get in the directors' face? Especially a second time, and holding an object an object they could attack with? I don't know what the environment is like in Hong Kong, but even when they shoot somewhere busy like Times Square here in New York they are a lot more buttoned up than that.
I will probably go see this, just because I enjoy the traditional ‘put the brain on neutral and enjoy the movie’ Transformer movies, but I really did not expect the Dinobots to look as crappy as they did. It appears as though they did away with the entire concept from the comics. Still..like I said, they have my money.
"The new female lead that they are looking for is a high school senior and her boyfriend a Texas racing driver."
So she’s the lead lead? In a ‘boys’ movie? About cars? That’s practically radical by Michael Bay standards, right? I hope it’s not just a function of Spoiler TV’s phrasing.
Not bad, thought it was better than the previous three films. Still had its over the top cornball moments but overall, I really enjoyed it. I just that the next one is going where I think it is in terms of who Optimus is now hunting down.

Was dissipointed by the dinobots. Optimus makes some weird reference to them being "legendary". No other explanation about who they are or what the EFF they're doing there or why he has to fight them. Just kinda, here they are, lets go, okay they aren't needed anymore "bye".

You have to listen to the banter between Lockdown and Optimus. In this version, the "dinobots" are members of the Knights of Cybertron, who Lockdown has been hunting down as trophies. He even captured the Knight's ship and made it his trophy case. Lockdown is a hunter, basically the Kraven of the Transformers universe.
The Knights (dinobots) are so ancient that they do not recognize Optimus as a descendent of the order, therefore he must prove his worth in order to not only gain their allegiance, but for the right to lead them.
It is also something that has always been there throughout Transformers history, Optimus having to show Grimlock that he is worthy to lead them through his actions, and sometimes even by having to fight each other.
I didn't care for this take on the dinobots, but it was still cool as all hell to see Optimus riding Grimlock into battle.

And maybe they'll bring back Starscream as a ghost.

Possible Cybertronians are Motormaster (leader of the Stunticons), Nemesis Prime, Ultra Magnus or Onslaught (leader of the Combaticons)

Lastly, it's the Dinobots, how can it not be a good thing? As long as they don't potray them as their dumbed down Sunbow versions I'll be happy.
Now with Dinobots?!? :D
Still Michael Bay? :(
