We've seen Anakin's "blue glowie" at the end of Jedi...so if Vader is back I'd have to go with a clone.
"You mean you cloned me just so you could burn me up and put me in that suit? Why didn't you just build yourself a %*^*ing robot and call it a day?!?" - Incredulous Anakin Clone
LOL
Yeah, I suppose a clone wouldn't need the suit!
History repeats itself.
Just look at how many leases Professor X has had on walking life. How many of them have ended with him back in the chair?
Darth Vader =/= Anakin (or at least it doesn't HAVE to). There are two other Skywalkers walking around right now, one of whom has a decent probability of falling to the Dark Side.
The pressures of bringing back the Jedi order falls on Luke, who ends up getting seduced by the dark side of the force, despite protestations from his father, Yoda and Obi-Wan. It falls on Leia to either save her brother, or kill him.

Presuming the story picks up several years after Return Of The Jedi, one would assume there would be a whole new generation of Skywalkers... though it's likely their last name would now be Solo.
Well, then you have even more fun with one of the kids learning about his "legacy" and becoming so obsessed with discovering more about his grandfather that the dark side sweeps in.
This storyline of course would be going on in the background of a larger story about economic trade embargoes. :)

Dont nec want to see Vader return but its possible there could be a cool way for it to happen or work. I assume clones. Imagine Luke and Leias kids fighting clones of Luke, Aniken, Maul and Palpatine? Maybe. Im just burnt out on clones and droids personally.
Just thought I should mention, since we're talking about Star Wars and all, that this week is composer John Williams' 80th birthday -- and no other composer has been connected to so much sci-fi adventure as Williams, from TV's Lost In Space to Star Wars, to Raiders Of The Lost Ark and Jaws. And he's still working, having done the score for Spielberg's latest (non-sci fi) flick, Lincoln.
Put this one in the rumor arena. A couple of us asked when Marvel would take over Star Wars.
The Suits in the know have determined that no new contracts will be given to Dark Horse after the current ones expire. So all new projects after 2013 will be handled internally by Marvel.
It’s not known yet if titles will be worked into the regular line up, or will Marvel create a special branch of the company that deals with Star Wars. It’ll take a couple of years for the old deals to work there course, but the stories that Dark Horse have coming down the pipeline will be the last. And you can expect anything new from Marvel dealing with Star Wars to arrive around 2015.
It seems to be following the pattern created by Marvel Studios. Where you have a solo character movie a year, then an Avengers movie every three years. So, for the sake of argument, you get Star Wars VII, in 2015, Star Wars VIII in 2018, and a bunch of solo movies inbetween, I would not mind that at all.
Yeah. Looks like Disney is going to be quite busy with the Star Wars franchise. I wonder then if the solo movies will have to do with the supporting characters of the new movies. That might be interesting. More likely will see solo movies starring established characters though. Boba Fett would be cool. Same with Obi Wan. Jar Jar anyone? =))

Arndt out, Abrams and Kasdan in for a rewrite. Saw this on twitter a few minutes ago, then started looking around elsewhere and of course found it on Bleeding Cool.
If they really have been shooting for summer, and Kennedy asks for a delay to 2016, then maybe the negotiation will end on late Fall/holiday 2015. They're on a two year per movie schedule, so to have the first one two years from now shouldn't be a problem.

That sure is original.
I mean. . . is that not a license to print money??

Ironically, I just picked up the last two I needed to complete my Dark Horse reprinting of the complete Marvel run of Star Wars books...
