Yeah, I think I have the second of the two Wolverine cards.
I learned so much from these cards. In 1990 I was 10 and was limited to buying the comics my local 7eleven and drug stores carried. I remember liking the team cards a lot and thinking how cool obscure(to me) teams like Alpha Flight and Guardians of the Galaxy were.
I really need to dig through my son's stuff and find these cards.
Yup! While I don't have this card I loved the team in the comics. Blew my young mind ;)
Heh. I went back and got every appearance of the team that I could find.
A What If from the 90's, Two relatively recent What Ifs, A Wolverine tie-in issue to Ages of Apocalyse (related to the Twelve storyline), the Fantastic Four issues in question, plus this one:
Did any of them cards ever become valuable, I remember at the time that everything was limited edition, special, holographic, pop-up and written in blodd etc!
Also skybox cost Marvel a lot of money in the end!!!

I've kinda wondered about that, too. Lots of hustle and dollar signs at the time, but I don't hear much about any sort of after-market now. Of course, I wonder the same thing about sports cards these days, too.
All those comics cards led to some great TV, though, thanks to the sporadic comics & related-collectibles shows on Home Shopping Club with the way-too-energetic Dane Hall. My friends and I would call each other back in high school when we discovered Dane was on. Never bought a damn thing, but it was always entertaining TV.
"Now, people LOOOOOOOOOVE promo cards, but they can be hard to get because the companies... they just don't make that many! Well. We have them here. Promo cards. TO-NIGHT!" :))

I love Wolverine's.
Exactly! Anyone out there with a NM copy of GSXM #1? I'll gladly pay you $95 for it!

Me: Umm... what do you have? I'll take--
Guy: 150.
Me: WHAT?
Guy: Fine. $200.
Me: Sold.
Guy: Tens okay?
God I loved the 90's.
