ohh snap. I'm over halfway through my image extreme mapping and Brigade is in the top 2 (between that and Supreme). Yep it's that bad people. I might be able to keep going after my year long break.
To be fair... If he's going to do this like he did the relaunch of Prophet and the other Extreme properties then it might be worth checking out. BUT Rob better hope I don't win the Mega Millions because I'm making him come down to S.West GA, during the summer, to sign at my library. After I put out full page ad in all the surrounding newspapers (at least twice).
I have been slowly collecting all the Liefeld Extreme Studios stuff. Never paying more than 50 cents for an issue. Been doing it to see just how bad it can get. And some of the pre-Alan Moore Supreme stuff isn't horrible.
This is a relatively low target considering who's kickstarter it is. It'll easily get funded, although I won't be adding any of my hard earned money to the pot.
@PeanutButterMustache Don't let them get to you. We all know Rob can't draw well, but they seem to think we forgot that. ;)
It's fun to laugh at his top 40 worst drawings, but it's not like we didn't know he couldn't draw. I can't hate the dude for making real money off of bad stories and bad art.
I was in the 12-14 age range when Image started and I was reading comics/wizard. I like you have fondness for Rob. I can't defend his talent or stories (or the fact that most of his villains came from an issue of the Tick), but I do enjoy the fun he brings to projects he's invested in. I backed the project; now we get to see if it comes out in this decade...
I like Rob, I've been able to meet him a few times in Chicago, he's a cool guy to talk comics with. There hasn't been much progession or maturation in his craft though. His art and ideas still seem be anchored on the late 80's and 90's, more so than some of the other folks from that time. I wish him the best of luck.
So I was looking at this today there it's sitting at $27,350 right now. That isn't a lot compared to some of the other big comics projects, bt what is interesting is the pledge amounts. The average donation is $60.25. Ok so we have a few large donations (500+), but the single largest group is $50.00. This is a crazy distribution for a comic project. It's interesting snap shot of Rob's fan base.
he's going to print more free comics and there are some bonus stuff for backers. Rob's goal (from what it sounds like) is to print as many copies of Brigade #1 as he can, then make them available for free to retailers. He's really excited about getting a lot of free comics out there for the public to read.
I've listened to/read lots of interviews with him over the years, and I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone that enjoys creating comics as much as he does. He really loves comics and the comics community.

If you want a reading order that makes sense I have one for the first 1/2. I took a long break, but have start reading it again.
