So, the wife and I get a crazy idea to cosplay as the Sharknado for ComiCon. We figure a few people would chuckle about it and move on with their day.
We were wrong.
Y’ever see those people who are so famous they can’t go two feet without someone asking to take their picture or pose with them for a picture? That was my wife on Thursday and Saturday (the days she wore the costume). She got interviewed by web-podcasts like The Nerdist (which often features Wil Wheaton (Star Trek people know who I’m talking about)), her favorite show – Glove and Boots (pictured above) – which was probably her biggest thrill of the whole convention, and there’s a rumor out there we ended up on NBC Nightly News, although I’ve yet to find any actual footage of it. In essence, we stole the internet this weekend.
Don’t believe me? How about this little tidbit from a more reputable site. Little thing I like to call the Business Insider!
http://www.businessinsider.com/sharknado-cosplay-costume-2013-7Just google Sharknado Cosplay and do an image search…you’ll find her. Easily thousands of pictures of her were taken. I’m not exaggerating. We were told repeatedly that we “made someone’s convention”, “best costume ever”, that we were “epic”, and most importantly, we brought a lot of smiles and laughs to people’s faces.

Now I'm going to say what everyone else is thinking. A lot of us have seen pictures of you and now seen the missus. You out kicked your coverage with her TS.
The folks at The Asylum might cast her for Mega Sharkster
Great to meet you both at the con. Congrats on your internet shattering.
