I think you get rid of Shadowland the way Waid did: Just don't bring it up. We don't need some big cosmic explanation (which doesn't fit the street level DD stories IMHO), just ignore it. I mean, we didn't need a 6 part story getting rid of the Punisher as a reborn angel, did we?

I've always thought the best way to handle Shadowland was have Matt wake up and say "what a shitty dream". Then never bring it up. I like to think of that as a Shooter Solution.

Is Patrick Duffy in the shower as well?
With Matt!? Boy, that really would have been a Shooter Solution, wouldn't it?

Who can resist a wet P.Duff?

    RELAUNCH!

    comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=49359

Same creative team and everything. Excited about it, also, STOP DOING THIS MARVEL! If you are going to start with new number 1's then let that be the approach. That was the end of season 1 this is season 2. Don't make it look like you're cancelling the book! I can except the new #1, but the drama is tiring and old.

And it looks like the new #1 is their chance to bump the price up to $3.99.

I have have enjoyed the current run but I am still letting this title go for a while. I do not like how the company has handled this, i do not like the price increase, and after reading the cbr article, i am not a fan of the of the major change happening with the relaunch.

The MARVEL way of pricing (especially for digital) keeps me away from their books - at least from the new stuff. Luckily after some time there is a chance to find a good sale and/or reduced collections.

And I also love, love the current Daredevil run.

Well, that's a shame. The way things go nowadays, do you think a modern comic will ever reach 100 issues anymore? It doesn't appear to be possible with comics always relaunching after a short period of time.

Yes, they'll still reach 100. Marvel usually doesn't fail at adding up all the volumes and slapping big numbers on their books to help sales.

From the last sales report - of the top 200 comics, only 4 were at issue #100 or greater:

    Walking Dead #115
    Fables #134
    Invincible #106
    Spawn #236

The closet Marvel book was Astonishing X Men at issue 68. Maybe it makes it.

Notice how none are fro the big 2 (I guess technically Fables, but you know what I mean) I guess it remains to be seen if the new 52 will be allowed to cross the triple digit mark.

Though as I said before, I can deal with the renumbering, it's the cancellation drama I hate. This was never a real cancellation but Marvel made a lot of hay out the story. It's only a matter of time before they cry wolf on a book and kill its sales before they get a chance to announce the relaunch.

I think it's long past time the X-Men came out of the closet.

This could mean a new Wolverine book with a very different take on the character.
