Bipedal or quadrupedal, monsters or tragic souls. What are your favorite were-creatures?

I'm mixing mediums here for my top five.

1) American Werewolf in London (comedic horror masterpiece, I could watch this every day)
2) Werewolf by Night (I got two issues in a comic book set from Sears when I was about 7 and couldn't get enough)
3) Dog Soldiers (Kevin McKidd in a solid Low budget werewolf movie. I appreciate the more practical approach to FX)
4) Silver Bullet
5) The Howling

Growing up I wanted to be either Michael J. Fox or Jason Bateman as Teen Wolf. Mostly so I could be better at sports.

I hate to admit it, but while I liked Silver Bullet the book / novella, I was thoroughly unimpressed with the creature in that film. Big letdown for me...



On the other hand, in that last remake of The Wolfman I thought the creature looked great!

Although it is much maligned I loved the Del Toro remake of the Wolfman The sequel Wolf man: Beast among us Is some terrible 7th grade role playing module bullshit.

I'm about 5 episodes into Hemlock Grove so the jury is still out. I'm enjoying it but I think end the end the whole thing is going to hang on a satisfying conclusion. It is a little Twin Peaks meets X-Files with monsters.

Yeah. I wanted to be Teen Wolf as well. I also like Billy the Wolf from the Dresden Files as well Josh from the U.S version of Being Human.

One of the more interesting werewolf movies is Brotherhood of the Wolf. I remembering enjoying that one a lot.

It should be noted that "Brotherhood" isn't a werewolf movie. However, it's chock full of naked Monica Bellucci. Very much worth viewing.

I have to disagree about Brotherhood not being a werewolf movie. Brotherhood is the original werewolf story. It just happens to be that the werewolves were not "real".
