I concur about Barbara Eden. I could never get into Bewitched because I thought it was an inferior imitation (I only ever saw reruns, so I don't know which actually aired first.)
Bewitched aired first by a year. And as far as I'm concerned, it was by far the better show. Better writing, better cast (thanks to the supporting characters). I'm with you on Barbara Eden though.
Barbara Eden was cute, but Elizabeth Montgomery was beautiful. Plus smart is so much sexier than silly.
I never could decide which I liked better really. While I do love the smart, there’s something to be said for the silly as well.
I would add the Mary Tyler Moore Show to the 70s. Also she was the tv babe of the 60s.
I won't argue with you on the MTM Show. And while I would certainly include MTM in the “TV babe of the ’60s” discussion, I’d have to go with my childhood infatuation with Julie Newmar as the TV babe of the ’60s. Unless you want to include British TV, in which case I would go with my greater childhood infatuation with Diana Rigg.

We had a discussion (on facebook or here) about 60s babes who rocked the catsuit. And while Julie Newmarr and Diana Rigg both factored heavily into the equation, I submitted that Wendy Padbury, who played Zoe during the 2nd Doctor's run, was *the* hottest catsuit babe from the 60s.
But again, cute wins out with me vs. sexy (Newmar) or voluptuous (Rigg)

See, I'm the opposite - I'll take cute over beautiful or sexy. Not that Elizabeth Montgomery wasn't easy on the eyes, or that Sam wasn't smarter than Jeannie (she was) or that I don't care for Bewitched (I do)...but in the battle of cute girl vs. voluptuous girl, cute usually wins out with me.
And good additions to my list - totally forgot about Seinfield and the Muppet Show, both staples of viewing for me.
Night Court remains a personal - albeit biased - favorite mainly because I pretty much loved every single cast member in it, and there was a major rotating cast if you recall. Harry Anderson, John Laroquette (still one of my favorite actors...vastly underused and underappreciated), Marsha Warfield, Florence Hallop, Markie Post (who went on to play Electra Woman in a pilot that was a deliciously awful take on the series), Ellen Foley (give yourself a bonus point if you know what her OTHER claim to fame is) (hint...stop right there...she's gotta know right now)...
Ms. Loud from the Bat out of Hell album? Get outta town!

Markie Post? You mean the actress who played Rina & later Sister Teresa in 2 different episodes of the A-Team!

Oh, I was a huge Night Court fan when it aired. I rarely missed a show. But I got the first season on DVD a couple of years ago, and I was kind of disappointed by it. And I actually preferred Ellen Foley on the show to Markie Post.

Don't even try to turn the conversation back to the A-Team, or I’ll start talking about the Beatles!

Watching disc 1 of season 2 of the A Team. The bonus feature on the disc is a season 2 episode of Knight Rider.
This show was terrible. I nominate it for the worst show that ever became popular award.
Knight Rider? Who wouldn't love to have KITT?! I place the show just under the A-Team. It did have some gem episodes. Plus, the premise of the show was 'The Lone Ranger with a car.'

I think a wise man once said, “I knew the Lone Ranger, and Knight Rider is no Lone Ranger.”

In the episode i watched, KITT jumped a prison wall with no ramp and almost no room for acceleration, everyone treated FLAG like they were as well known as the FBI, a bomb that was supposed to blow up a city block gave off an explosion that might blow up a garage, and Hasseloff was just awful.

Turbo boost, bitches!!
Sounds like season 4. The first 3 seasons, it was 'The Knight Foundation.' Once Wilton Knight's daughter was introduced in season 4 opener, they called it FLAG (Foundation for Law And Government) Yeah, their 'authority' is greatly over blown.
Season 1 really had the best episodes, though I like the upgraded look for KITT at the beginning of Season 3 (Knight of the Drones.) It seems like any 2 parter that had KITT in a major city meant he was going to get wrecked, restored to life, & upgraded.
Amy, though only appearing in Season 2, was way more hotter then Bonnie. Season 2 also introduced Garth, the evil son of Wilton Knight (& a duel part for Hasslehoff.)
Too bad Hasslehoff hated playing Michael & Garth in the couple episodes. There was supposed to be a Michael/KITT v. Garth/KARR episode.
I do not know if it is just an A team thing or an 80's tv show thing, but the A team wasted a tremendous amount of time with opening/closing credits. I timed one of the early episodes in season two on dvd. Opening credits (show preview/title sequence) was slightly over 2 mins. Closing credits was nearly an incredible 5 mins. (of course, this gets edited for syndication)
This would NEVER happen on tv shows today.
I imagine stretching out stories for episodes was a little tough for this show

They also had more minutes to play with, nowadays shows are trimmed as much as possible to allow for as many commercials as possible that credits (opening and closing) are wasteful.
On a side note about Knight Rider, hasselhoff, not great, but William Daniels will forever be the voice of artificially intelligent transportation in my mind.

Interesting. Now I'll have to go back to the archives & research. The earliest I recall 'FLAG' being used was season 4.

I love that Encore Classics is show 2 episodes of Night Court weekdays.
He won 5 emmys and appeared in close to 400 episodes of network tv plus some movies - a few of which were good. He had an ok career. =D>
I did not know he was in Star Trek III as Maltz. Next time i watch it, i will pay closer attention.
I keep forgetting that it was always him and Michael J. Fox trading off who won the Emmy each year for a while...
The first season of The John Laroquette Show was arguably one of the best seasons of ANY show I've ever seen. A beautiful dark comedy. Then the suits got ahold of it, changed the focus, and turned it into the WORST season of any show I've ever seen. It was like someone said "Hey, let's take everything great about this show, eliminate it, and replace it with things the show didn't need!" :)

She also inspired a certain Mr. Jones to ask the question "Should I Stay or Should I Go?"
Yeah...she's pretty damn cool. :)
