I start this every year and peter out about 1/4 of the way though...not this time, dammit. I'm gonna break it out by months, and maybe that'll make it easier to keep up with.
Ever wonder just how much you actually read in a year? I do, which is why I like trying to chronicle it. If you're insane like me, start a list in this thread, and just keep going back to edit it to add every book you read (not purchased...read) in the month of January 2014. It's not a contest, or a race, but it'll be interesting, I think to not only see what everyone reads, but how much stuff we actually put away in a single month.
If we keep this going, we'll do one for February, March, etc...

@Greg was right the X-men were taking on Juggernaut
Really that's how the incorporated a lot of the Marvel U without putting them in the main 7 part series all of the Hammer wielders were off causing trouble and different teams had to help take them out.
As for the Guardians of the Galaxy they were probably off fighting Annihilus or something.
Homefront and Youth in Revolt were two of my more favorite of the spin-offs

Fear Itself - when did Stuart Immonen become such an amazing artist? This story line felt like Marvel's version of Blackest Night, instead of everyone getting a lantern ring, they got Asgardian weapons... the only lame part of the story was that if the world REALLY was ending, why were the only Marvel heroes defending the earth: the Avengers and some of the FF. Where was the X-Men, New Warriors, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. etc...
Thor: God of Thunder #1-5... OMG! THIS SERIES IS AMAZING!!! THIS STUFF IS MIND BLOWINGLY GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finished the first story arc and can't wait for the 2nd to go on sale on comixology!!!
Savage Wolverine #1-5 - Frank Cho is a god. Story was good too. Just a fun romp through the forest and it was nice to see Wolverine decapitate people... coz when you fight a guy with 6 adamantium blades, you should not wake away from that fight
Demon Knights Vol 1 - zzzZZzzZZzzzZZZzz... not sure why the Geeks loved this series so much... the art was subpar and the characters were not very well explained... maybe it works if you are already familiar with the pre-New52 versions of these characters... what is up with the female knight who pretends to be a man?
Already preparing for same thing due end of each month.
Demon Knights worked for me because it was about as far removed from what DC was doing at the time. I knew it would never last, but I supported it right up until it ended. I loved the characters, both old and new (never thought I'd see the day I was rooting FOR Vandal Savage), and even when it was revealed that these guys were essentially Stormwatch - Medieval, it still read better to me than about 90% of the rest of the New52.
