Super excited, just bought my airline ticket for LA. My brother (who worked on Winter Soldier) put me on the guest list for the LA Premier! Maybe I'll get to sit beside Stan Lee.
Merrie and I are getting married on the 4th so the wedding party is hitting the midnight showing of Cap the night (or morning) before. Any Central IL geeks that want to posse up and come with us are more than welcome.
Wait, isn't it bad luck for the groom to see the bride the day of the wedding before the ceremony?!
M
yeah, tradition be damned. we're actually doing a shot of single malt outside the auditorium before we walk in together.
Wait, doing shots before the ceremony & then before the reception isn't tradition?!
"The Winter Soldier is scheduled to premiere in Los Angeles on March 13, 2014 (tomorrow!), before being released internationally on March 26, 2014 and in North America on April 4, 2014, in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D."

I totally read that wrong... I too have 23 days.
I was gonna be seriously ticked if I was having to wait an extra week. ;)

So, Captain America gets released internationally before it gets released in Murica? WTF?

They've done that a few times now. It seems to build buzz and make for huge opening weekends.

I get that with lots of films. But dammit! This is Murica! Captain Murica for the Muricans first!

Marvel’s Head of Production, Kevin Feige, told Collider that Joss Whedon directed one of the two post-credits scenes in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
We won’t spoil what occurs in those scenes in this post, but it’s pretty easy to figure out which one the Avengers: Age of Ultron director had a hand in once you see them.
The other scene was directed by the directors of Captain America: The Winter Soldier , Joe and Anthony Russo.
This seems to be a new trend with the Marvel Studios films. While they’ve always had at least one post-credits scene, The Avengers escalated things by having two. Thor: The Dark World followed suit with two post-credits scenes, but only one was by Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor. The other was directed by, Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn, and was clearly meant as a lead in to Guardians. Now Captain America: The Winter Soldier is following suit, with Whedon’s scene being a lead in to Avengers: Age of Ultron.

It makes sense...and I like the idea. The movie gets a chance at a post-credit bit & they can still add set up for A2: AoU. @playdohsrepublic had a point on another thread, this'll be a great time to introduce QuickSilver before Singer's movie comes out a month later.
I'm surprised how much they show The Winter Soldier's face in the newest trailers. You'd think they'd want his identity to be a surprise for the general public.

If you watch the Comic Con panel, Feige said they were treating it as though people know before seeing the movie.
I'm betting its really more in name only then the real storyline from Brubacker. Chances are, your average movie-goer who doesn't read the comics either don't know or care & your average comic book reader had already known. Its kind of a relief. Now they won't waste time trying keep a secret those who care already know.

"Peggie. Peggie" (in my best drunk Cap voice.)

I have this feeling the "nurse across from Cap's apartment" is 'cleared' by SHIELD if Widow is suggesting it...if you can read between the lines. ;)
