Heroes, season one, is perhaps some of the best TV I've ever watched. Unfortunately it quickly tanked after that. I'd love it if this mini series can some how capture the magic of that first season.
Heroes had its issues, but I never felt it strayed so far as to jump the proverbial shark. I enjoyed the series even during its lulls, and I look forward to its return.
I'll be interested top see what they do, since they pretty much became unwatchable after they hired Jeph Loeb after season 2. I still haven't watched the last four or so episodes...just lost all interest. But, boy, that first season was amazing.
Can't wait. Just re-watched everything not too long ago actually so this is sort of serendipitous. Hope at least Matt, Peter or Mohinder show up as cameos in an episode or two (they were my favorite characters).

Hmmm... You and I see eye to eye on a lot of things, but this, apparently, isn't one of them.
Ever since it premiered, everyone who knew me told me I HAD to see it, and I would love it. Superheroes and all. Well I didn't see it, for a long time, until last week.
Someone gave me the whole series, and I was stuck home with the flu. PERFECT timing.
I watched the first 4 episodes, or so, and I'm done. The writing was so sloppy and predictable. I felt like all of the OMG connections between characters were so trite and contrived, and never felt like it was a real world. I did like Hiro and his buddy, and that storyline, but not enough to keep watching it.
I think I may be jaded in having watched Firefly, Fringe, Avengers, Nolan's Batman, and other incredibly well-written shows and movies in the interim, and my standards are now pretty high. Not so perfect timing.
it is rare that I am excited by a show. I enjoyed Season One and I watched the remainder of the show. Daredevil was the next show I was excited by. I am not excited to hear about this.

I hope they do a good job reminding me of what happened after the first season.
