Happy Rebooting Month CGS Forums

Two years ago this month the CGS forums were rebooted and an all new all different forums launched. Having lost all our prior continuity we were forced to start with clean slate. Some ideas worked and some didn't.

So in honor of the 2 anniversary what are your top two reboots of all time?

My favorite two ReBoots are “Nullzilla” and “Trust No One”. Man ReBoot was a really good cartoon. And comic book great Brendan McCarthy was the production designer.

Oh, wait. You mean reboot, not ReBoot.

A surprisingly good cartoon despite Dan DiDio's involvement.

I'm happy with my reboot after becoming a dad. I'm trying to become more objective & openminded to set an example for my daughter.

Oh, and the Nolan Batman & Snyder Superman movies have been enjoyable reboots too.

I was very happy with the reboot of Warlock when Jim Starlin took over the character and quit trying to retell "Jesus Christ Superstar" with fight scenes and when Don McGregor took over Black Panther and had him act like an actual ruler of a hidden African Kingdom after years of having him teach troubled teens in Harlem.

Were the The New Teen Titians a reboot? I remember the old ones being painfully bad and Wolfman/Perez's just being in another universe all together.

Along with these I gotta say the Dredd and Amazing Spiderman movie reboots are up there for me.

And I'm sure this new Godzilla will be up there too. Gotta be better then Murd's (and my) favourite actors version. The great Matthew Broderick.

On another note someone really should come up with a sarcasm font...

No... nor was the aforementioned Warlock by Starlin a reboot either. In each case, the previous continuity was not ignored but often acknowledged and even built upon. Each series merely went into new directions.

The New52 Teen Titans is a complete reboot (as is most of the rest of the New52 DC) because it takes the original concept but rebuilds it with new and old characters, a new origin(s) and new backstory. It bears only a superficial resemblance to the previous incarnations of the TT.

Usually not a big reboot fan (the aforementioned cartoon *was* great though), but I'll throw this out there...

The Snyder N52 Batman has me reading Batman again, which I haven't done in quite some time.

And I usually enjoy dragging out the reboot to end all reboots - Crisis on Infinite Earths.
