Walter Simonson's THE JUDAS COIN HC comes out in September. However only 96 pages for a 23.00 retail price tag, OUCH!
True, it's a little expensive, but it's an original graphic novel from Simonson! It's been a while since we've seen a nice chunk of new work from him, and it's an OGN. I'm in, no question about it.
I know that Walt Simonson is a very, VERY talented man but I will be hoping for a special discount from DCBS to justify getting it. I just got the Batman Killing Joke Deluxe HC (since it was left out of the DCU Stories of Alan Moore HC fill in the blank bad word here to DC collected editions dept.) & that only 64 pages for $10 online. Collections that were 15 & 20 bucks before are now 17, 23, 25 & 29 bucks these days.
Hey @mguy1977 and @brydeemer, did you guys notice Alien: The Illustrated Story (p318) by Walt Simonson and Archie Goodwin in this month's Previews? $14.95 for 64 pages and $75.00 for a 96 page Artist's Edition HC. I love Simonson but that is pricey.
I'll give Judas Coin a blast; and the GL/GA trade from DC is on my list, as I've never read those issues. Not much else, maybe the Monolith HC or the third Crimson Empire collection. I'll wait and see the other companies and indies offerings but my glance at Marvel's solicits is where I think I'm going to be hit hardest this month
I was looking at Image and we have a new "Supreme Madness" storyline by Erik Larsen.
I just finished reading the old "Supreme Madness" storyline. The old one had Supreme going nuts and fighting characters like Pitt, Union and having Spawn talk him to death; it was the weakest Supreme story I have read to date (granted I'm only on issue 20).
Marvel has some interesting collections this month The Thing Classic vol2 - been waiting a while on this ManThing Omnibus - now you can really get it giant-sized
Next on my Marvel wish list, the next Peter David Visionaires on the Hulk it's been a while since they released one.
@mguy1977 I'm going to wait for Deluxe volume 2 to go on sale; I'm a little suprised you aren't more excited about The Thing volume 2. I know your love for his She-Hulk.
Wow, this may be the lightest month ever for me. Out of all of those this is it for the entire month!
Dark Horse THE STRAIN #6
Image
REVIVAL #1 CHEW: SECRET AGENT POYO #1 - and I feel like a chump buying it. DEBRIS #1 (OF 4) ENORMOUS #1 (ONE-SHOT) THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS #5 - I'm hoping I still care by #5, we'll see. MUDMAN #7 SAGA #5
That's it. I've had single weeks way heavier than that.

I love Byrne but I really want that Criminal HC & that ate up 2/3rds of my trade part of DCBS budget. I will likely get it in October w/ birthday money.
