Cyclops Article

http://grantland.com/hollywood-prospectus/difficult-x-men-a-defense-of-cyclops/
This is a great article on Cyclops. It actually incorporates what I think about Cyclops and wish I was talented enough to write. Cyclops is a wonderful mope of a person and I feel like you either love him or hate him (I know I fluctuate between the two). What are your thoughts?

    Scott Summers is:

    - The greatest leader the X-Men have had or will ever know
    - A deadbeat dad (no matter how they retcon it)
    - An asshole
    - A horndog who can't keep it in his trousers for five minutes

...and he's hands down my favorite X-Man.

I'll take Ororo over Scott for leadership everyday of the week and he's the X-Man that I love to hate the most.

True but with the women he's been with, i cannot fault him over this.

I read the article right after it got posted on Grantland and thought it was pretty great. Personally I loved Alex's complete destruction of Gambit (which you should read) that lead to this article.

My favorite Scott Summers storyline actually shows up in Earth X, where we're in the not-too-distant future, most of the X-Men have been wiped out, and Scott's one of the few survivors. Running into a band of young mutants, he realizes he can still fulfill Xavier's dream.

I have to say that the conclusion ties things together and makes some great points. Definitely makes Cyclops a more empathetic character for me.

That was a really enjoyable article as well. I second the suggestion, I don't agree with him as much, but also very good. I think Alex should just keep it going on other X-Men
