I get a lot of stuff, but here are the items I pre-ordered through DCBS this May for stuff coming out in July or later that I am most excited about:

Batman Eternal #13-17 - I am loving this series so far and looking forward to the continuation

Grayson #1 - I like Tim Seely and I read Tom King's "A Once Crowded Sky". With Tom's background with the CIA and Tim Seely having been a good writer on G.I. Joe in the past, I am very excited about where this title goes.

Marvel Covers Artist Edition - I have not owned one of these, but when I heard they were going to do a Marvel covers one, I knew I had to get it when it became available. Very excited about this.

Midnight Tiger #1 - The FCBD issue was good, though some of the origin story seemed rushed, I am interested in where it goes and what they do with it.

Futures End #9-13 - Again DC has me hooked so far on a second weekly series. I like what they have done so far in the first couple issues, and I'm excited to see where it goes.

Ragnarok #1 - Walt Simonson doing Norse gods again and doing it the way he would like to with no ties to a big two universe? How could I pass that up?

Robin Rises Omega #1 - I think we all assume this is the start of Damian returning...but what if it's not? Or what if he comes back in an unexpected way?

Spider-Man 2099 #1 - I love this character and super excited to see him return in an ongoing again with Peter David again!

Star Wars Black Series 6" assortment - I love this line of figures and have learned my lesson with the Boba Fett figure that if I want these figures at a decent price and to get them all, then I have to pre-order.

Tales of the TMNT Vol. 5 TPB - I have loved collecting these volumes of the TMNT. I'm looking forward to seeing what these Tales issues bring.

    What's this particular title about?
Post-apocalyptic Japan has "evolved/devolved" into an agrarian society, but a sort of magic has returned. Children are now able to perform telekinetic feats, but sometimes at a terrible price. Those who can't control it have the potential to be consumed by it, so the adults kill off those who can't and wipe/rearrange the memories of the kids who can so they aren't wondering what happened to their friend Kenny.

A group of five friends "graduate" and get to take a trip outside the perimeter fence of one such village. They find out some pretty horrifying things. Then they return, forewarned and forearmed, to their village and innocence is pretty much lost.

The Good: Definitely follows the GRR Martin "Don't Get Attached" principle. Nobody is safe. Excellent artwork. Some of the best I've seen in a manga. Creates characters you'll give a damn about. Really interesting plotline - the adults genuinely ARE afraid of what the kids could potentially do to them, and the kids are learning the adults may not have their best interests in mind.

The Bad, or The Meh: Can't have a manga with two beautiful women in it without having them knock boots, can you? Hence the Mature Readers on the cover. This relationship apparently doesn't happen in the Light Novel or Anime, but I haven't read/seen those. To their credit, the relationship *does* make sense in the context of the setting (kids raised in groups pretty much from birth and it's a community where same-sex relationship aren't frowned on) but some may see it as fanservice.

Besides my usual fare, I’m getting:

Ragnarok (a Walt Simonson series with Norse mythology? Yes, please!)
Low (I may pick up the first issue, but I'll probably go with the trades)
Rocket Raccoon (Because Skottie Young and Rocket Raccoon)
Street Angel (Jim Rugg goodness finally collected all in one place)
Shadow Hero (Gene Yang and Sonny Liew—how can I pass it up?)
The Graveyard Book vol. 1 (P. Craig Russell adapting—he’s doing scripting and layouts, with a ton of other great artists doing pencils and inks—my favorite Neil Gaiman book)
