Has ANYONE heard of these?
So I'm friends with the granddaughter of Martin Nodell, the creator of Alan Scott (Golden Age Green Lantern). Anywho, someone posted a comment on her Facebook page with an image of this trading card featuring her grandfather on it. I had NO idea these cards existed, let alone that Martin was a featured creator! So I IMMEDIATELY raced over to eBay and hit "buy it now" on a set of 8 unopened packs of this series for $12. I received them today. I went out right after work and bought some trading card binder sleeves and sat, in the comic store, opening each fresh pack and immediately placing them into the sleeves.
While I was saddened to not get Martin Nodell in my pack, I did receive several other (well ALL of them are actually) notable and infamous creators. I was, however, THRILLED to see Julius 'Julie' Schwartz among my loot. Julie is one of my heroes. Bar none. SO happy he was in there.
Anyways, I figured I'd share my find with you guys. Hopefully you don't snipe away my chance at a complete set online, but hey, community before personal gain I suppose.

BTW, the Macfarlane card made me LOL. And the world deserves a Tom Yeates t-shirt.
(Second edit: Apparently I'm not the only one.)
What?! No Stan Liebowitz sticker cards?
lol
On a side note, Marty was a really sweet guy. I used to see him every year at Heroes Con. Never met his granddaughter, but the last year he was able to come to the show, one of his sons came with him to help him and Carrie, and we were set up right beside each other, so I got to chat with them a bit more than usual.
