Marvel Heroic Roleplaying: Any good?

Occasionally I force my wife to play something but she is not much of a strategist, nor does she really care :)

if occasionally playing ends up with you doing something for her it sounds like she's more of a strategist than you give her credit for :D

got my copy of the book just gone over it a little so far but it looks pretty interesting, no d20's used so i'm a bit out of my normal element

@Krescan I'm up for it, I do have a new baby at home so I can't do some crazy schedule but could definitely get together for a weekly game of something especially during the week in the evening.

I keep trying to convince my wife to try this Marvel Role Playing stuff, but its always "Im tired" or "I have a headache"...

oof, not good. I hadn't realized it was Cortex based (I must have missed that in the description initially)... I don't know at only like $13-14 it could be fun for people into Marvel and I don't see it being that big of a deal for people that aren't into the systems as much, they will just learn and adapt to it even though I can see how it would be clunky for this.

The lack of character creation rules and a roster of villains is pretty damning.

I assume there will be supplements with those, without them, it sounds like a one-shot game.

This is a Weis game. They did work on the old one so it could just depend on expansion books to expand. Has anyone played? I'm curious how the dice system plays.

still working on figuring out the rules and getting everyone together to play, which is looking bleak with my groups schedules right now

so far we've planned at some point to go to pizza hut to discuss rules and whatnot :D
