I was first introduced to Mr. Pratchett's work about ten years ago by the owner of a fantasy/scifi bookstore who recommended the Discworld series to me after I had been voraciously devouring Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy series and Piers Anthony's Xanth series.

I have a great amount of respect for anyone who has the ability to make me laugh or think. Terry Pratchett did both. May he rest in peace.
