Yes, please keep posting...but I get to savor them more in smaller doses. ha!
You had some awesome stuff in that batch. I still have that Howard the Duck treasury edition and I've always loved it! The Dave Stevens stuff was amazing, of course. The pulp-style Conan magazine covers I always loved as a kid. Buscema looked grand painted and the Neal Adams ones rocked! Great stuff...
Here's mine for the day...ComicsDB lists this one as George Tuska pencils, Billy Graham inks. Comics.org lists it as Billy Graham for both. I would've guessed Graham, but I'm no expert...fun 1973 cover though!
@rebis your brother clearly had good taste. And you obviously had the good planning/negotiation skills. :)
I remember I stopped picking up cap right around that time...was it Frank Robbins who took over the interiors around then? It was too much of a shift for me, at least as a little kid.

As I wrote before. My brother was never a comicbook guy. Conan 37 just kind of ended up in my collection. He probably figured that he left if laying somewhere and Mom threw it out.

It was still "Our Pal Sal". I know what you mean by the Frank Robbins comment, though. I have a hard time looking at his superhero stuff. Every so often I get the collect Invaders bug. I'll pick up a few issues, read them and realize that I still don't like Frank Robbins. The bug goes away for awhile.
It's funny they have two different cover prices. One must have been on the rack for a while.
Good eyes on you. I hadn't noticed that. It was a very small town. I bet stuff sat on the rack for quite a while. This same town had a drug store that would sell the comics with the top of the front cover missing. I loved that! They would sell the comics for a penny a piece.

I felt the same way about Don Heck.
Years later, having seen the non-superhero work by both men. I'm pretty impressed by what they managed to achieve when the only work available was stories and characters that bored the crap out of them.
That Haunt of Fear cover is freaky...love the Alan Davis!...and I had no idea the Sweathogs got a Treasury Edition -- wow! :-)
Here's yesterday's -- a Crypt of Shadows that's "unconfirmed" to be by Ron Wilson on both comics.org & comicsdb.
And today's first one was the Savage Tales Conan cover previously posted! So...alternate for today...bizarrely (considering the software serves covers randomly) is ANOTHER Crypt of Shadows #4, by John Romita Sr....
I loved the painted Gold Key covers as a kid! There was more than one issue I picked up on the cover alone. The Warrior Bolton cover is awesome as well!
Today's 1973 Marvel is by Gil Kane and Joe Sinnott. Beware the power of Ulik! And his short pants and suspenders! Still love the cover, though. ;-)
How hard is it over there to find back issues of Warrior?
Individual issues go for about £5 on eBay. There's a couple of runs on at the moment with no bids and not much time left. http://bit.ly/LhQobW and http://bit.ly/JZlhPT shipping might be a problem as going to be a big bundle though

Yeah shipping to the states would be high. I might have to check out the comic shop on the coast and see if he has any issues for sale. I know he is a huge fan of UK comics.
@Caliban I had that Daredevil. Always loved that Kane cover!
@dubbatt138 I had that Man-Thing at some point -- I think I also had it in Power Record form possibly? Mentioned my love of Ploog before. WISH I had had the Howard mag!
Today's Astonishing Tales from 1973 features Ka-Zar taking on a member of the Zodiac. Art by Dan Adkins.

Slow down a bit.

When I was a wee boy, my Grandma took me and my brother to the grocery story. My brother walked out with this comic
I walked out with this comic
My brother isn't much of a comic guy, so his comic soon became mine.

Graham Ingels
One of the earliest Ray Bradbury stories I ever read.

I love Alan Davis. And really need to track down more of the UK Captain Britain comics.
Bob Oksner
Got this from the same place as the Conan Treasury comic. Always loved the tv show. But had no idea there was an oversized comic.

Good God A'mighty.
Looks like Bane got ahold of her and crunched her up into a ball.

Love all those Charlton horror titles.

Also loving the "Read Comics!" appeal.
