Agreed! That book has it all. Floating heads on the cover, Clark & Lana, Dave Cockrum art, and a Nick Cardy Cover.
Yep one of my first and favorite comics.
I've got two copies of it in my collection, the original I bought off the shelf which has been read so many times it is falling apart and a replacement...just in case.
@dubbat138 Cool stuff! Especially enjoy the Gil Kane covers (no surprise, right?).
So were these literally digest-sized reprints? 1980's? I don't remember ever seeing these before....
Yeah the last year or so of Adventure comics was digest sized and mainly reprints. My mother use to buy them for me when we went grocery shopping. It was how I got introduced to LoSH,the Spectre, and the golden age Sandman. I sadly have lost some of my copies. And now getting replacements cost more than it should. Also want to say those digests had some Shazam stories that were suppose to be published in the 70s Shazam series. But I want to say they didn't get published until they first appeared in Adventure Comics.
No problem. For some reason when I was younger I preferred the digest sized comics to the normal sized comics. I loved Adventure comics,DC's Blue Ribbon Digest and all the various Archie Digests.
