@rebis: Those are awesome as well, but the first one, with the big red moon (not to be confused with Spider-Butt) is the most impressive Frazetta cover I've ever seen.
Richard Clark did an homage (noted on the cover, of course) to that Frazetta cover on Great Zombie in History #3 (a book I edited). Gotta' love Sacajewea and Lewis & Clark versus zombies! (ha)
Posting early as not going to be able to in the morning.
btw @RobAnderson This is my favourite thread on the new forums. Thanks for starting it
Creepy! YES!!
@Caliban I'm glad you're enjoying it. I am, too! I never really intended for it to become an on-going thread, but I'm LOVING it! ;-) Glad to hear I'm not the only one.
He was never one of my favorites, his stuff always seemed a little stiff to me. This one is less so, but still the zombie is posing heroically, rather than being captured in mid-stride.

From November 1968 it's one of the definitive covers from Jim Steranko.
I love this cover
Sticking with it we have to cover the FF and Galactus
From May 1968 issue 74
"When verbs (the) Noun"
Is it just me, or were they trying to make him look like Christopher Lee here?
A John Romita, Sr cover from The Cat
And a Don Heck romance cover
Another Kane Janson favorite. This was on a Slurpee cup, back in the day.
Love both those covers. That second one looks like it's by Milgrom and Wrightson? Cool...
I can't believe this cover didn't come to mind right away. Had to rack my brain to remember the title.
@rebis excellent pick
For today it is 2000AD time. March 1983
For today, I was randomly served a Romita, Sr. classic!
That's one of the most beautiful covers I've ever seen!
Gorgeous composition!
It' from '84...couldn't resist. Really good Steve Dillon cover.
