The 2019 Reading Thread — The “Hey, June” Edition

Hey, June, don’t let me down. You have fine comics, now go and read them.

The Rules
Log everything you've read this year. Just edit your existing post or you (and we) will get confused trying to keep up. At the end of each month, I'll start a new thread and you can pick a "winner" from your favorite books. You can focus on just trades, or just write about the good stuff you've read.

    The June Moon Edition

January Winner: Shazam #1 (DC) - Huge bias I know but it was good!
February Winner: Sally the Sleuth (Bedtime Press)
    March Winner: Urusei Yatsura (Viz)
April Winner: George Perez' Sirens (Boom) - In honor of his retirement
    May Winner: Revolutionary War (Marvel)

Komi Can't Communicate Vol. 1 (Viz) - This one's cute. I hope it'll stay that way.
Eve X Eve (Manga) (Seven Seas) - Closer to an issue of Heavy Metal than manga, but a good read all around.

    January Winner: Criminal #1
    February Winner: Daredevil #1-2
    March Winner: Mister Miracle (King)
April Winner: Spider-Man: Life Story #2
May Winner: Exorsisters Vol. 1 - just a really fun book with an interesting story and beautiful art that is almost at odds with the subject matter. The art style is cartoony and fun while the story is a lot darker. But that kind of made me love it more. Lots of tough competition this month: Fairlady #2 was even better than #1, Batman LKOE was a great opening and frankly a nice counterpoint to the current Batman run, FNSM was a pretty touching story too.

Been so off my reading game. Feels like it's too much to track. I am reading though. I just wanted to pop in and applaud the title @nweathington.

I'm not sure if anyone can help me on this one but I thought I'd throw it out there.

About two weeks ago, my post of June books here disappeared. A couple times I had updated it with my "books read" only to have the post say it was under review, something I had never seen before. In fact, it was this last time that it said under review before it disappeared all together. I know I didn't hit the delete post option.

Moderators, is my post possibly sitting in the pipeline somewhere? It might be a pain to recreate it. I had a lot of books listed.

    Thanks.

@SharkJumper I'm glad you brought that up-- yes, I just checked and you were right, they were stuck in a moderation queue (not by any moderator action, but rather a thing that VanillaForums did a few years back that required all members, even existing longtime ones, be manually verified. I have over time verified folks as they pop back up once I was aware this was happening, but sorry to have missed yours earlier. So those posts have been restored from where they were stuck, and your account is not verified so that should not recur.
