The 2022 Reading Thread — The February “Almost Slipped by Me” Edition

Yes, Virginia, there is a CGS Best of... Show this year. Time for some last minute prepping!

The Rules

Log everything you've read this year. Just edit your existing post or you (and we) will get confused trying to keep up. At the end of each month, I'll start a new thread and you can pick a "winner" from your favorite books. You can focus on just trades, or just write about the good stuff you've read.

I liked it. The art was pretty amazing. I really dug the issue somewhere in the middle that seemed like a send up of Batman. Despite it’s futuristic setting, it was clearly written in the late 80s/early 90s, which was a fun bit of time travel. And it was certainly an interesting take on Super Heroes. I could definitely see how this book influenced books like The Boys that came much later and that I’m more familiar with.

I borrowed it from a friend. I don’t know that I’ll be revisiting it again any time soon, but I’m glad I read it.
