The various comic book series based on the Batman animated series are some really good comics. In fact, sometimes they were better than the in continuity comics at the time. I also remember when Legends of the Dark Knight got sucked into the Knightsquest crossover, Batman Adventures was the only place to read Bruce Wayne as Batman stories (although I did like the Knightfall cycle of stories and could see where they were going with it, that didn't change the fact that it felt good to read some old school Bruce as Batman fun).
Or, if I can borrow a phrase, The Batman Adventures was pure comic book-y goodness.
Glad to see him working, but why isn't Terry Austin, one of the all-time great inkers, working on a more prominent title?
Just to clarify, that scanned page is from 2002.
Of course, according to comicbookdb, his current book is Sonic The Hedgehog, which is probably even less high profile. Although, if I remember correctly, that book does sell pretty well, doesn't it? Just to a completely different demographic than us? Or am I completely wrong on that?

Pretty sure you're right, and I hope he's making a ton of money on those books, I'd just love to see him inking something I'd read.
Shame he couldn't be inking Simonson's run on the Avengers, for instance.
They were some fun, overlooked and under appreciated books. Despite my love of the cartoon universe I pretty muched dismissed the books at the time which I now regret. Ive got quite a few but not as much as i would like and theyve gone up pretty well in price. The Batman Beyond series especially.
The new DCAU related stuff is pretty good too. Im so glad they havnt abandoned the universe.

I keep hearing that Sonic sells really well outside the direct market. I know it is one of the few comics I see at grocery stores now.
The new Batman Beyond series. Also includes JLB backups and there has been a couple Superman Beyond one shots. There was a Batman Beyond mini about a year ago that lead into the new series.

Doctor Hugo mindwiping stuff = comedy. (Bruce's mind has regressed to when he was eight)
