Nice to hear Jamie doing so well,however this sounds like the death nell of a once great show,just my opinion.

Come on... these guys put in tons of hours per week just in the hopes of entertaining someone and building a community... maybe you can (A.) come up with some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, or (B.) keep it to yourself, or (C.) maybe you can just go away.
I am sorry to be so blunt, but the whole epicenter of this forum is their show. If you are not happy listening to the hard-earned fruits of their labor, but want to still participate in the forums, show a little decorum and graciousness.
I know I am risking "dislikes" and "flags" saying this, but so be it. These guys work too hard to have to put up with this bullshit.
@kylemoyer funny you should say James bond is gay. There have been discussions at Sony since Casino Royale was in production about making Bond gay. It may not be too far away.
@busty I can't remember the last time I was enthusiastic about anything, much less comics. I kinda hate them. I just picked up another drawing gig in an upcoming anthology and I am really bummed about it. I mean, really! I have to draw another comic? And since having changed my career to full time art I have been on the show more often. That surely spells disaster as everyone hates me. I don't know if I am the patsy or the conspiracy but I am not enthusiastic about it.
I was told, btw, that the show died when Peter left, so I am not sure why the hoary horns of death sound now rather than then.
(is it me folks or are there people that just plain don't listen to the show but love to gripe about the old days?)
Hey mike I do listen,maybe I need to take off my rose coloured glasses but it isn't as good as before,sure there are great episodes but maybe its the frequency the shows come out that make it seem entertaining.But I have stated it is just my opinion,and I'd still rather listen to you guys than not. As I am a cohost I feel it is alright for me to take your opinion seriously. I feel I am enthusiastic. I won't speak for the other Geeks. However I don't take the forum seriously. As I recall Carson was essentially told that his time was up. Research the whole bloody affair, and you'll find pieces where he says as much; it was about the NBC regime wanting to find a younger viewing audience at 11:30pm. Thus, Carson didn't necessarily have much sway over the decision to go with Leno. It should have been Dave as the new Tonight Show host, and we all know it. Love the fact that during his last years, Johnny sent Letterman jokes for his monologue, and reportedly got the biggest kick when Dave used them.

I like the show. Old show. New show. Like em both. Pants, I think you are doing a great job. Actually Deemer was on a recent show and I was so used to him not being there (the Avengers episode I think) that it kind of threw me. (Mayby I was just grouchy because I liked the Avengers more than he did) I found him somewhat abrasive. I got over it pretty quick but it was still an odd moment. Sorry I wanted this to be a positive post. I like the show. Old show. New show. Like em both.
Just listened. Good episode as usual and far from being the "death knell." As someone said above, the show still has great personality exemplified by the personalities of the hosts! And I don't think they are bored. Well, maybe they are bored about announcements of gay characters? I know I am. Oh, and glad to hear that Jamie is doing better! Yay!
I don't listen to CGS expecting it to be a polished, amazing example of continuously brilliant entertainment (although it frequently is). I don't go to the comic book store anymore, so this is my dose of geek chat, and I value it greatly. And I kinda like the crankiness... I appreciate the sincerity of it. I like Raging Bullets (2nd favorite podcast), but those guys absolutely love EVERYTHING to death.

I have found the past 3 or 4 months of CGS to be more entertaining than it has been in months. It seemed to me that Bryan Deemer was suffering from burnout before he took his break. Plus with Pants stepping up it has given the show a new energy that had been missing for awhile now. Then add in that Matt has been showing up more often. Plus Mike being able to be on more shows.
