Not sure if some would consider it obscure, but I really enjoyed Airboy and Valkyrie and the various spin-offs. It certainly wasn't in the mainstream.
Yeah, not exactly obscure, though generally forgotten today. Airboy enjoyed a good run his first time out from Hillman in the 40's. Not as big as some of the other air fighter comics, but notable all the same. That later Eclipse run was pretty decent, from what I recall.

When will Geoff Johns give us the dark and gritty take on Sunny Sparkle that the world needs?
There are lots of characters I remember from the early to mid '80s, when I first got into comics, that I'd love to see again.
Frankie Raye (Nova)
Amanda Sefton - during the time I was reading X-Men, she hardly ever turned up, but she always seemed potentially interesting; a quick glance at her Wikipedia page tells me that she went through some screwy stuff in the '90s, though, so maybe she was best left in the background
El Aguila - I don't think I've read a single story of the guy, but for some reason I always remember his entry in OHOTMU; he just looked interesting
Jemm, Son of Saturn - one of the first non-superhero series I ever read
and one not from the '80s:
The Monk - one of Batman's earliest villains, and his first supernatural one, yet he's only turned up a couple times.
If I had to pick one, though, I think I'd go with Terrax.
He's like the Silver Surfer with an axe - what's not to love?
I also liked the Nathaniel Dusk mini series by Gene Colan. If memory serves me correctly, neither of the two series were inked.... just Colan's pencils straight.
That's my recollection as well. Same thing for Colan's Ragamuffins and Silverblade, which, IIRC, were drawn aroudn the same time period as Dusk (I think Ragamuffins may have been the first pencils-only book he did).
Hey, come on! How many of these are really obscure!? Batgirl? Stanley And His Monster? An obscure character would be someone who made some minor appearances and has since been forgotten, like Foggy Nelson's kid sister, or Daredevil's other secret identity.

Not obscure to old farts like me and thee, perhaps, but remember, to the original CGS crew, Uncle Scrooge was obscure!
That said, I'll concede my original pick is far more obscure than Miss O'Day, or Young Master Dover.

Obscure... but definitely not my favourite (although I do own this issue).
